Studio Stigmata / The Alliance 2

The Studio Stigmata CD will contain a completely different approach than The Alliance One CD. This CD will follow a concept format and bring the listener through a Pop - Rock musical journey reminiscent of the classic 1970’s concept albums with a unique and modern sound. Also different from Alliance One, this CD has been recorded by the Alliance Band featuring TJ Jordan on Guitars and Vocals, Dennis St. James on Vocals and Eddie Pisano on drums.

Stephen Palmer is a producer, recording engineer and multi talented musical writer, bassist and all around musician with a special talent for creating unique combinations of musicians and recording techniques.  His 35 years of playing bass, extraordinary theory knowledge and masterful skills as an engineer and producer make him the all around musician that is almost impossible to find.  Couple this with his ability to pull the best out of any musician and his imaginative marketing ideas, and you have the winning combination that makes Steve respected by all that have had the pleasure of working with him.

The Alliance was the brainchild of Stephen Palmer.  It began as a forward thinking tool of creating music to ultimately record, produce and distribute the product.  This dream team of producers, musicians, engineers and composers covers every unique musical situation.  Once it began, it  seemed like everyone wanted to become involved.  This CD incorporates a taste of the most talented artists creating a one of a kind collection of diverse musical styles.

Mastering at Abbey Road took place in August 2005.

Nick Webb at Abbey Road Studios was chosen as the mastering engineer

because his expertise suits this projects multiple musical format perfectly.

ABOUT Nick Webb our Mastering GURU

Nick Webb joined Abbey Road Studios in 1968 and for the first 6 years worked in the studios with many notable artists including The Beatles, John Lennon & the Plastic Ono Band, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Roy Wood, Phil Spector, and Pink Floyd. He was also involved in classical sessions with such world renowned artists as Andre Previn, Sir Adrian Boult and Sir John Barbirolli.

In 1974, Nick moved into disc cutting and mastering and has seen many changes in both the equipment used and the type and styles of music being made.

Today, Nick masters using the original EMI TG 12410 transfer desk with analogue outboard gear, Sonic Solutions as the central digital workstation and digital eq. For vinyl disc-cutting, Nick uses a Neumann DMM lathe.
